Moose Country

Photo of a greyed, dead tree, toppled over, lying partially-exposed in a small pond/bog, which is dotted with waterlillies and their pad-like leaves. Surrounding the pond is the characteristic dense carpet of forest undergrowth that can be found across Atlantic Canada, interspersed chiefly with small coniferous trees, which can also be seen in greater size and number in the background, beyond a field of undergrowth. — We can’t stop here — this is moose country!

I took this photo at the Bog along the Cabot Trail in Cape Breton Highlands National Park. This is the 1,000th post on my website!

Yahaha! in Halifax

A Korok, resembling a small, living tree with arms, legs, and a smiling face from the video game Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, stands (superimposed) atop an intricate structure made of small stones, polished into cubes and organised in a tight and symmetrical way. In reference to the video game, where the player can find and replace missing pieces of these structures, and upon doing so, a Korok will appear to congratulate the player, exclaiming, “Yahah! You found me!”, which is displayed in a dialogue box below the Korok.

Gotta stay alert outside the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia.
