| brown sugar | 60 mL | |
| light soy sauce | 45 mL | |
| dark soy sauce | 30 mL | |
| ketchup | 30 mL | |
| malt vinegar | 15 mL | |
| tamarind paste | 15 mL | |
| fish sauce | 15 mL | |
| white pepper | a pinch | |
| water | 60 mL |

- Combine all ingredients except water in a bowl. If not marinating, add the water.
- Simmer sauce over medium heat until thickened to your liking!
